The second half of the game witnessed a much more intense battle and was packed with attacks and counter attacks. The teams displayed a superior quality of game as the girls were in dire need of opening the score-card. It was Kate Holmes of England who created some space for herself and struck a field goal in the 47th minute to take a 1-0 lead in the game. On the other hand, India was seen putting extra efforts in the game to level the scores with England as they tried to create goal scoring opportunities for themselves on many occasions but were restricted by England. However the Indian team displayed good coordination and trying to close the gaps by ensuring good possession of the ball and earned crucial penalty corners but stood unsuccessful in converting them. Failing to score any goal in the match, India lost to England 0-1.
