Haryana Government decided Community Centres open in villages
Chandigarh (N4C Desk)- Haryana Government has decided to open Community Centres at the panchayat level in villages of the state. These centres will have the facilities of gymnasium, yoga centre, exercise room, banquet hall and reading room.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Development and Panchayat Department said that it has also been decided to get developmental works over Rs.20 lakh inspected from third party so as to ensure quality in these works. The inspection would be conducted by reputed institutes like Sriram Institute of Industrial Research, Delhi, CRI Delhi, M/s RITES Gurgaon, IIT Rurki, IIT New Delhi, NIT Kurukshetra and Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
He said that department has also proposed to set up Quality Control and Vigilance Cell so as to ensure proper monitoring and best utilization of funds. The cell would analysis the report of the agencies conducting third party inspection and will take appropriate action on it.
He said that a programme namely ‘Samgra Gramin Vikas Mein Yuva Shakti Ki Bhagidari’ has been launched. The objective of this programme was to inculcate volunteering spirit among youth. Under this, youth volunteers would be trained to spread awareness in villages about various social and economic activities. The annual outlay of the scheme would be Rs.15 crore.
He said that a new scheme has been started to set up office of gram panchayats having infrastructure with e-connectivity facility. Sarpanch, Panch and Gram Sachiv would perform their duties from these offices. Apart from holding gram sabha meetings, space would also be given to village level officials of Revenue, Health and Agriculture Departments in these offices. The Panchayat Houses would be developed on the pattern of Administrative complexes at a cost of Rs.40 crore in year 2015-16.With a view to minimize the paper work and to provide necessary information at panchayat level, e-mail of all panchayats have been created.
The spokesman said that a target has been set to construct toilets in every house of all villages by October 2, 2019. ‘Swachh Haryana-Swachh Bharat’ campaign is being run in the state.
