Handball Championship : India won 5th South East Asian Women Handball Championship

NEW DELHI (News4City – 4 April 2018):- India defeated Bangladesh by 27-10 in a one sided match of 5th South East Asian Women Handball Championship at K.D. Singh Babu stadium in Lucknow.  Indian domination was of that level that in first half, Bangladesh team had not secured any point against 15 secured by India.

By trouncing Bangladesh, India retained the title of South East Asian Women Handball Champions.  Five countries participated in the tournament.  Nepal secured 2nd position of the championship.  India maintained their all win record to finish with eight points from four games.

Two players of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Tejashwani and Kajal were part of the winner Indian team. DG, SSB hails the triumph of Indian handball team and congratulated Tejashwani and Kajal for their outstanding performance.
