CRPF’s CWA three Days Annual Exhibitio Start at SDG Ground in Delhi
New Delhi (News4city)- The CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA)- the extended family of the Central Reserve Police Force today rolled out its three days long exhibition and fair in the SDG Ground amidst the gracious presence of the First Lady Smt. Savita Kovind. The entire CWA Family led by Dr. Manu Bhatnagar was there to celebrate the First Lady cutting the ribbon thereby gesturing the colorful start of the Exhibition.
Kovind, the Chief Guest of the occasion was gracefully welcomed into the Exhibition ground by Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Director General, CRPF, Dr Manu Bhatnagar, President CWA, top serving and retired officials of the CRPF and office bearers/members of CWA, where she paid floral tribute to the martyrs at the designated place. The inaugural meeting, presided over by Dr. Manu Bhatnagar, President CWA was graced by Smt. Savita Kovind as Chief Guest and by Smt Aruni Doval as Guest of Honour was held amidst a simple but somber ambience that was packed to its capacity. The stage was also shared by other CWA dignitaries Smt. Shalu Lakhtakia, Vice President, Smt. Pratima Srivastav, Smt. Preeti Anand and Smt. Rupinder Kaur.
The brief inaugural ceremony witnessed the chief guest Smt. Kovind lighting the lamp and offering wheel chairs to four ‘divyang’ (differently-able) children of CRPF families , as a gesture of generosity – a hall mark of CWA. On the occasion, a music CD produced by CWA was released and the best lady workers of CWA namely Smt. Sulochana Devi and Smt. Mehroj Nisa were honoured by the chief guest.
The three days long CWA Exhibition-cum-Fair is likely to invite a large number of footfalls, the chief attraction being the slice of culture, couture and cuisine that bear a Pan Indian colour. Near about 40 stalls that stand now on the exhibition ground hold out the promise of catering to every taste and taste buds.
