Creative Concepts Films launches Gen V: a journey to discover and empower Generation Video
New Delhi(news4city)- Creative Concepts Films, a budding independent production house, announced the launch of Generation Video (Gen V), a landmark filmmaking expedition from New Delhi to London, by road, to explore content creation cultures around the world in the digital age. Sitting on the dais were the project’s producer Amarjeet Singh Chawla, director Karan Darra, Nidhi Tiwari, Luqmaan Malik, and BJP Delhi’s President Manoj Tiwari. Gen V is a series that will document the adventure and experiences of four rebels who believe that the way the world consumes and creates visual content is changing for good, and are setting out to empower this new generation of avant-garde filmmakers.
The team will be starting from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, on the 2nd of July, 2018, driving through 50 cities in 23 countries, across 23,000 km in Central Asia and Europe, before ending the journey in London, UK.
On this occasion, Manoj Tiwari, President, BJP Delhi, said, “Through the medium of this journey, new developments in international and digital films will be showcased in a first-of-itskind documentary. This project will definitely give direction to the evolution of filmmaking.”
Amarjeet Singh Chawla, Founder of Creative Concepts Films, said, “I started Creative Concepts Films with the vision to encourage and enable today’s youth to make the sort of films that they want. they have the bigger audience in the online space, and I do believe that the day is not far when independent content will take over mainstream cinema.”
Director Karan Darra said, “We live in an age where anyone with a good idea and a decent phone can go viral. Big studios spend buckets of money to promote their content, but even they can’t keep up with fresh, original films, because good ideas promote themselves better than paid media. With Gen V, we are opening the world to this phenomenon, and sensitising the global population to this new generation of filmmakers – Generation Video.”
Nidhi Tiwari, Founder of Women Beyond Boundaries had this to say, “We live in a time when the world has shrunk and boundaries have blurred. Overlanding is the medium of choice if you wish to meander across cultures, geographies, and mindsets. Being an extreme overland driver, I connect with the pushing-beyond-boundaries vibe that this project emanates. The fact that they have chosen to hire a woman as a driver speaks volumes in itself.”
Luqmaan Malik, Cameras and Executive Producer, quipped, “I am honoured to be a part of this project, because I have always wanted to do one thing – make films. When I first started chasing my dream and exploring my options, I realised that mainstream cinema is very exclusive. But that’s obviously not the case any more, and we’re going to prove it with this journey. Generation Video for the win!” Creative Concepts Films is a Delhi-based production house that facilitates the young storytellers of today by giving them the means to make independent films. With Gen V, the newly formed independent content creation hub embarks on its most ambitious project (yet).
