Beti Ki Lohri would be celebrat on 14 January at Dronacharya Stadium In Kurukshetra
Chandigarh 6 January (N4C Desk)- ‘Beti Ki Lohri’ would be celebrated on January 14 at Dronacharya Stadium In Kurukshetra as the district administration has decided to celebrate the birth of daughters with ‘Beti Ki Lohri’ and about 50 such families who are blessed with second girl child would be invited to participate in the Lohri celebrations.
Stating this today, an official spokesman said that the participants would also be sensitized about ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ programme during the celebrations as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch this programme on January 22 from Panipat district of Haryana.
He said that besides this, rallies would be organised from January 10 to 19 to spread awareness in all wards of villages and towns of the district regarding the programme. The Members of Parliament and MLAs would flag off these rallies to create a mass awareness about the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” programme. The rallies under ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ programem would also be organised at district level, sub division level and block level. The rallies would be organized on January 10 at Dronacharya Stadium in Kurukshetra, on January 11 at Ladwa Ramkundi, on January 17 at Arya Senior Secondary School, Shahabad, on January 18 at Government Senior Secondary School, Pehowa, on January 19 at Babain and Ismailabad block. In these rallies, school students, ANMs, ASHA workers, teachers and officers of related departments would remain present. He said that religious organisations, NGOs and other associations would also be involved in it.
